Waxes vs Sealants vs Coatings

Waxes are typically made out of or mixed with Carnauba. They are the least durable of all the protection options, especially in warm weather, and tend to wear off of a car within a month (IF it doesn't reach the melting point). Carnauba wax melts at 180 degrees Fahrenheit, that means in the Arizona heat it is melting off of your car as fast as it is put on. Waxes typically give your car a little bit more depth and gloss than any other option. We only use Carnauba based waxes on vehicles over the top of a sealant and purely for aesthetics.

Synthetic sealants, which are the main product we use, are made from polymers that link together and bond to the paint on a molecular level. This allows for much more durability and a melting point of approx. 350 degrees Fahrenheit. A typical sealant lasts for 3 to 6 months. Sealants still enhance the look of your vehicle slightly but provide much better protection

Coatings are also a synthetic product. These are typically permanent or semi-permanent layers of protection. These act similarly to sealants except they harden once they bond with the surface. This essentially creates a second layer of clear coat on your car.  Coatings again enhance the look of your vehicle and provide extreme protection but at a significant price.
